Join us on a unique missionary adventure that you'll always remember! For one week to six months, you will live among the Turkish gypsy community, impacting their lives with your Christian witness, being Salt and Light among them. You will be part of the OM team in the village of Cobadin, in Constanta- Black Sea area, about 4 hours from the capital, Bucharest. Live among remote groups of Turkish gypsies in the village of Cobadin in Constanta, on the Black Sea. To reach children, young people, and adults with the Gospel, through sports, kids' games, teenage and women's meetings, practical work, and home visits. Through this cross-cultural experience, you will have the incredible opportunity to increase your faith and relationship with God and help Romania's second largest minority group: the Roma, also known as gypsies.
Please note that transportation will be charged an additional 231 euros per week, plus additional transport costs.
What To Expect
You should fly to Bucharest OTP airport (Romania), and there someone from the Cobadin team will pick you up and drop you off on the way back, and together you will go to Cobadin village. People with special talents, such as handicrafts, drawing, etc., are very welcome

If you are adventurous, flexible, and willing to be stretched physically and spiritually, if you want to be challenged in your faith and experience God in a new way through cross-cultural ministry, you have a passion to reach the lost by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, then this outreach is for you. We recommend considering flexibility and initiative in serving Roma people using your skills.

Will there be accommodation provided?
Accommodation will be at the mission center or at the house of a team member. Please note that it may be possible for groups to share the same accommodations.
Will there be food provided?
A typical Romanian meal will be provided to you with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sometimes you will be responsible for preparing your meal. Come ready to serve with the team and the locals, and let us know if you have any specific dietary needs.
Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?
Participants are responsible for organizing their travel to and from Bucharest, and someone from the local team will pick them up at the airport and drop them off at the train station or bus station for an additional fee of 150 euros.
What should my health condition be like?
Participants must be in good health and physically able to carry a backpack, stand, bend, lift, walk, and do other physical activities as needed. Everything you take for this outreach must be carried on your back.
Do I need a visa?
You can only enter Romania with a Passport (or ID card if you are part of EU). Citizens from the EU, USA, Canada, Switzerland do not need a Visa. All others will need a Visa. If a Visa is needed and costs are involved, this is the participant's responsibility to pay the fees. Unfortunately, OM in Romania is unable to send the documentation for the short-term visa application.
