Bert van de Haar

Bert van de Haar was born and raised in The Netherlands. He has been involved with OM since 2013 when he joined the board for OM Ships. He became chairman of the ship’s board in 2015. Bert holds a master’s degree in agriculture from Agricultural University of Wageningen in the Netherlands. After 25 years at ING Bank, leading the global change management and global data governance organization, Bert became a member of the executive board of the Salvation Army in the Netherlands. An organisation with more than 7000 employees and 12000 volunteers. He also serves as chairman of the board of Stichting 10-Site, a foundation that aims to facilitate foster care for teenagers. Bert has a passion for board work. He and his wife, Jacqueline, have three adult children.
